\"Poker\" <\/p>\n

The basic rules of Poker are simple enough: the highest pair wins the pot, and the second highest pair wins the pot. The highest card on the board breaks ties. If no pair wins, the high card will break the tie. If no pair wins, a better hand wins the pot. However, if both players have higher cards, a straight will win the pot. In a poker game, the highest card is the winning hand. The dealer is called the “dealer” and the players are called players.<\/p>\n

The game is played around an oval or circular table, with a dedicated dealer. To begin the game, the initial dealer must choose a card from the shuffled deck. The highest card is the first dealer. Then, players “buy in” by purchasing poker chips. Each player buys in for the same amount of chips. During the initial deal, the first dealer shuffles and cuts the deck, advancing the action to the remaining players.<\/p>\n

When you have a monster hand, check instead of raising the preflop. If you have a flopped set, you can ignore the threat of straights. Tricking a loose aggressive opponent may pay off in the long run, but if you get tricked and give them free cards, it will backfire. As a result, you’ll likely lose a large pot.
